Trying to get pregnant when the world seems to have other plans…

Day 25… January 24, 2010

Filed under: Uncategorized — ttcwithpcos @ 12:02 PM

I’m excited, angry, bloated and exhausted. IVF is definitely a roller coaster!

Excited because my ultrasound yesterday to check progress went GREAT! Dr. Awadalla gave my ovaries an A+ which he says doesn’t happen often. I have about 15 follicles growing right on schedule. I go back on Tuesday for one last check before schedule egg retrieval. Can’t wait!

Angry because yet another meds donor that I was matched with has gone MIA. I sent her my address and asked her to send everything ASAP and nothing. Oh well, I guess we’ll just have to spend more money, at least I had some very wonderful women to share their meds with me and make this journey a bit easier.

Bloated from the Follistim & Menopur. Just imagine, women typically produce one mature egg per cycle and I haven’t even done that on my own for a few years. Now, I’m producing at least 15!!! Even sitting straight up is a bit uncomfortable so I can’t imagine what it will be like as we get closer to egg retrieval.

Exhausted from all of the drugs and the busy last few days. MDB recruitment on Friday and Jenn’s mom’s surprise party yesterday. Today I have a full day of laundry and cleaning which Brian is thankfully helping with since I waddle when I walk due to the bloat. But, Brian starts third shift tonight so I feel bad that he’ll be up and about all day then have to work all night.

Roller. Coaster.
