Trying to get pregnant when the world seems to have other plans…

Day 40 February 8, 2010

Filed under: Uncategorized — ttcwithpcos @ 6:39 PM

I’m a little discouraged today…

RE’s office called today to let me know that only one of our embryos made it to the blastocyst stage, thus only one embryo was frozen. That means if this cycle doesn’t work I can do a frozen embryo transfer, but with only one embryo, before having to go through the whole thing all again. I’m really not sure that my body can handle going through another stimming/egg retrieval process.

Let’s just hope these two babies I’m carrying are settling in for the long haul…

Only one out of 19?? Did they say why?

Actually, only about 30% of women get any embryos at all to freeze…they don’t survive very well outside of the womb. The one that froze is in excellent condition, I’m just not looking forward to going through another cycle if it comes to that…
